1. Tulip Fields, Holland

There are fields just outside Alkmaar. Moreover, every March Holland in the Netherlands turn from sandy patches of dirt into carpets of lime green sprouts. In fact, it signals the first chimes of spring.

By the time the season is full bloom, the once blank canvas is swimming in an endless sea of reds, blues, pinks and yellows. A sight that truly looks like something out of The Wizard of Oz. 4. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia.

Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world. Also, at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi) this reflective ocean is a sight you wouldn’t believe actually exist in nature.

Moreover, it is located in southwest Bolivia. In fact, these one of a kind salt flats are the the result of the transformation of several prehistoric lakes, which over eons have left a water salted crust over this vast flat, reflecting the sky ever so beautifully. Walking through this mirrored wonderland, one might forget which way is up and which way is down.

5. Fairy Pool, The Isle of Skye, Scotland

Located within the Glen Brittle, The Isle of Skye, Scotland is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and awe-inspiring scenery.

Moreover, among these breathtaking beauties are stunning mountains eroded by years of crystal cool water running down it’s sides, building their path towards a pond that looks straight out of children’s story book. 6. Zhangye Danxia Landform, China

No You’re Not Tripping Balls! 

These psychedelically coloured mountains are the Danaxia land forms at the Zhangye Geological Park in Gansu Province, China. Moreover, the multi-coloured land form is a unique type of phenomenon that can only be found in China.

Researchers say that there used to be an inland water basin here. Also, around 100 million years ago Water carried silt from the surrounding mountains to the basin. In fact, as the result of rising global temperatures the basin dried up and in these arid conditions the sediment oxidized and turned rust color, creating the beautiful designs you see before you.

7. Hidden Beach, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

This Hidden Beach, located on the Marieta Islands in Peurto Vallarta, is the beautifully serene result of an otherwise violent act.

Often referred to as the world’s most idyllic bomb site, the Marieta Islands were used as bomb practice by the Mexican government in the early 1900s. But after an uproar from the community, the government cease their bombing and declared the island a natural park. Over the years, tides have brought sand and water in to fill these holes, creating breathtaking beaches hidden from the outside world.
